Harvest Napa Valley 2012…This season has been just perfect

The Napa Valley Vintners Association reports that  Chardonnay is pretty much off the vine, Merlot is coming in and last week’s heat spike has gotten Cabernet Sauvignon to a very happy place on the valley floor. The long, smooth even growing season continues, with cooler days and cold nights allowing for flavors to develop in a winemaker’s idea of a perfect scenario.
