Jesse Gouvin brings more than 25 years of leadership, sales, and customer experience expertise to his role as Director of Retail Wine Sales at V. Sattui Winery. His career has taken him from luxury brands including Mercedes-Benz and Maserati to wine retail and hospitality, where he has built high-performing teams and focused on creating memorable customer experiences.

A New England native and graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Jesse spent two decades in the Southeast before making what he describes as a bold career move, or possibly a questionable midlife decision: packing two suitcases and relocating to Napa Valley to pursue his passion for wine and hospitality. Fortunately, things worked out.

Jesse’s wine experience includes leading a boutique wine retail and tasting destination, developing wine education programs, hosting wine dinners and private events, and working with premium and rare wines. He holds certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers and Society of Wine Educators.

At V. Sattui, Jesse leads the retail sales team with a guest-first approach centered on genuine hospitality, wine education, team development, and relationship-driven sales. He loves bringing people together around great wine and food and creating experiences guests remember long after they leave.

Outside the winery, Jesse enjoys cooking, discovering great restaurants, hiking and exploring Napa Valley, and spending time with his two sons, Jackson and Grant.
