Sattui Winery is thrilled to welcome Chef Jeffrey Lloyd as the culinary leader of our newly reimagined Mercato del Gusto. With a career spanning over two decades in some of the most respected kitchens on the West Coast—Michael Mina, Café La Haye, Aqua, and more—Jeffrey brings both seasoned expertise and heartfelt hospitality to every plate.

Originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey grew up just west of Philadelphia, the youngest of three siblings and a devoted athlete. He swam and played baseball and football throughout high school—experiences he credits with preparing him for the fast-paced rhythm and teamwork of the kitchen. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, he moved west to San Francisco, where his culinary path truly took off.

Along the way, Jeffrey met his wife Gia in 2004, and together they welcomed their daughter Thalia in 2006. In 2009, the family settled in Sonoma, where they still reside—alongside their beloved bulldogs, Bruce and Rose. When he’s not in the kitchen, Jeffrey enjoys golfing, fishing, and cooking at home with Gia, whose Italian roots make their shared meals something special.

What excites Jeffrey most about joining V. Sattui is the winery’s rich history, stunning Napa Valley setting, and the warm sense of family among the team—all paired with world-class wines. With his humble spirit, sharp wit, and dedication to excellence, Jeffrey is already bringing an inspired new energy to our culinary offerings.
