ultimate cubano sandwich

A stacked, savory sandwich that’s satisfying and delicious with Bordeaux blends.

INGREDIENTS

Scallops
Sweet French Bread — 1 loaf
Yellow Mustard —  1/4 cup
Mayonnaise — 1/4 cup
Sliced Cooked Ham — 1 lb
Sliced Roasted Pork — 1 lb
Crispy Bacon — 1/2 lb
Sliced Swiss Cheese — 1/2 lb
Dill Pickles, Sliced — 6
Melted Butter — 1/2 cup 

PREPARATION

Heat a panini press to medium heat. Cut the loaf of bread into quarters and slice each quarter in half horizontally.

Spread the mustard and mayonnaise on the bread. Use one condiment per slice of bread, but be sure each sandwich has both.

Assemble each sandwich by layering the ham, sliced pork, bacon cheese, and dill pickles.

Brush each sandwich liberally with melted butter and place on the press then close the top and cook for approximately 3-5 minutes. For the sandwich to be ready, the cheese should be melted and the bread golden brown.

Slice each sandwich in half diagonally and serve.
