With more than 25 years of culinary excellence, Chef Jeffrey Lloyd brings refined technique, humble leadership, and heartfelt hospitality to his role as Marketplace Chef at V. Sattui Winery. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Jeffrey began his career in some of the country’s most prestigious kitchens—from the seafood-forward finesse of Aqua in San Francisco to the Mediterranean sophistication of Olives at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. His talents took him to the Michelin-starred Michael Mina, where he helped open the acclaimed restaurant and led a team of over 30 chefs as Chef de Cuisine.

Jeffrey’s deep knowledge of wine and food pairings flourished during his time as Executive Chef at Nectar Wine Lounge and Café La Haye, the beloved farm-to-table destination just off Sonoma Plaza. There, he helmed the kitchen for 15 years, crafting weekly menus and executing intimate wine-focused events, earning loyal fans and Michelin recognition alike.

Now at the helm of V. Sattui’s newly reimagined Mercato del Gusto, Chef Lloyd draws on his lifelong passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and the warmth of family-style cooking. His food celebrates the bounty of Napa Valley with Italian-inspired flair—perfectly paired with V. Sattui’s award-winning wines.

Originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey now calls Sonoma home with his wife Gia, their daughter Thalia, and two lovable bulldogs, Bruce and Rose. Whether he’s entertaining at home or welcoming guests to the winery, Chef Lloyd is dedicated to creating moments that taste as good as they feel.
