  • Cabernet Season At V. Sattui Winery

    At V. Sattui, we take Cab Season very seriously. This season runs strong from the beginning of November to April, and so do we! Right now at the winery, you can enjoy upgraded Food + Cabernet Pairing experiences and Cabernet + Food Pairings. From tasting highly-awarded 90+ point, single-vineyard Cabernets paired with classic winter dishes to pairing Cabernet and your favorite junk foods – we have it all!

    Cabernet + Food Pairing Experiences

     

    On December 15, prepare to have your taste buds amazed at our Short Rib Stew + Cabernet Pairing. Hosted by our resident food and wine expert, Marc Golick, enjoy a flight of our 90+ point Cabernet Sauvignon with a hearty bowl of short-rib stew and crispy Pugliese. Cozy up by the fire in the iconic Tower Tasting Room, sip, eat, and indulge in this harmonious winter pairing. $50 for members and $60 for non-members, and you even get to take home a recipe card!

    Up next is our Coq Au Vin + Cabernet Pairing on January 12. Forget the tea and biscuits, this experience is the real deal. Marc will take you through a tasting of our highly-rated Cabernets expertly paired with the popular French dish Coq Au Vin with Porcini-Parmesan Polenta. The chicken is braised with wine and is typically served with mushrooms and lardons. We can assure you that you’ve never had any pairing like this. It will have you saying “ooh la la” all day long.

    Upgraded Cabernet + Food Tastings

     

    Are you sitting down? Because you might need to prepare yourself for these three deliciously -unique Cabernet + Food Pairings. It’s going to be hard to choose just one so you might have to try them all! All of these pairings can be enjoyed now through March on Fridays and Saturdays. $40 for the Cab flight + $10 experience upgrade.

    Up first is the “All That and a Bag of Chips” pairing. You might be able to guess what this one consists of but we guarantee you can’t guess what this pairing will taste like. Enjoy a Cabernet flight paired with house-made sea-salt truffle potato chips. Between the satisfying flavor of our Cabs and the truffle-saltiness of the chips, it’s literally a match made in heaven.

    “When Cab Met Cheese”… Kind of like When Harry Met Sally. The two end up being the perfect pair, and who doesn’t like Cabernet with cheese? Nobody, that’s who! This classic, yet delicious, pairing features a flight of our beloved Cabernets paired with cheese from all over the world, available for purchase after your tasting just steps away in our Artisan Deli.

    Last but certainly not least is the “Opposites Attract” pairing. This is the one you’ve all been waiting for… Your favorite V. Sattui Cabernets paired with junk food! That’s right, we said junk food. This experience will not only surprise your senses but also help you know exactly which V. Sattui Cabs to pair with your salty/sugary treats during your winter movie nights.
