I ahve never been disappointed with SFR and this batch is one of the best.

I was introduced to this wine a couple years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. Had a couple of my non wine drinking friends try some and made believers out of them as well. I definitely recommend this bottle.

One of the best values on the vine! Outstanding blend. SFR has become the Benelli Family Red. Superb with pasta. Stands up quite nicely to heavy sauces, meats and cheeses. Makes a great gift too!

I bought a case in 2006...excellent. My wife favored white wine at the time. It has since cost me a fortune in filets. Excellent wine and you can't beat the price!!

This has become my standard wine for dinner parties and get to-gathers. Making some big fans here in Louisiana. Stopping in at the Winery was the best decision we made on our trip through wine country 3 years ago....

Houses and cars are not very cheap and not everyone is able to buy it. But, loans was created to aid different people in such hard situations.

A good wine... a little on the pricey side since I've comparable blends for less then half the price!

I would have to say this is our all around favorite wine! It's so well blended that it seems to go with just about everything! We always keep a case of this on hand!!

SFR is a great red wine for under $20. Its very good drinking and a compliment to a nice dinner. I'm down to my last bottle of '08 so I hope the '09 is as good.

A great wine with any meal or all by itself. It makes me feel like "Califoirnia Dream'n"!

Love this yummy wine. My Husband and I purchased a bottle during our recent trip to Napa, we opened it last night and are very impressed by the body and quality of this wine. It has a smooth taste which we enjoyed very much. We will be buying more to keep in stock at home.

First, I take issue with this site's saying that 4 out of 5 stars only means "pretty good". for me to rate 4 out of 5, it has to be "pretty DARNED Good"!

As for value, a budget of $15-20/btl makes it easy to find a very nice red wine in today's market (but also so real losers), so I would only refer to the SFR as an "average" buy for the bargain wine shopper, especially if you are paying shipping and the per btl price ends up around $16-18. However, I also find myself buying this stuff by the case - ESPECIALLY THE CURRENT (2009) VINTAGE - which is significantly better than the last.

Bottom line: If you want a very good, solid California red that will make you, as well as even more discerning guests happy and don't want to waste your time, money, and worry looking around for a good red, this one is a no-brianer. You will not be disappointed. The 2009 Family Red is a winner and I am yet to find anyone who disagrees! That, in and of itself, justifies the mid-to-upper teens price. The surprise of just how really tasty you'll find it to be is a big bonus.

An excellent wine for any occasion. A friend sent me case (2010) to try out and must say I am totally impressed. The plum flavor is excellent...and the taste borders between a medium and a full bodied!!! Definitely leaves one with a "happy mouth".

My gal pal and I visited the winery several years ago and fell in love with SFR. Ever since I have been ordering it on the net (about 4 cases per year) and enjoying the consumption. I also make gifts of it which always go over as a hit. On every occasion everyone of my friends are amazed with SFR's taste.
