2009 Sattui Family Cabernet
With 94 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petite Verdot, and 2% Merlot, the 2009 Family Cab could also be termed a ‘Meritage.’ The blend incorporates fruit from Vittorio's, Preston and Henry Ranch vineyards.
The wine has subtle suggestions of dried flower petals among its aromas of briar, dusty spice and cocoa powder; and, although not as dense and deep as our greater single-vineyard Cabernets, this is still a wine of fine poise and proportion—strong on flavor and complexity, light on tannins. Great for everyday enjoyment with pastas, chops and steaks.
