2009 Gilsson Vineyard Zinfandel
The 2009 Gilsson’s sweet, young, berryish fruit aromas show both lots of immediate appeal and plenty of depth. Upon entry, the flavors are much like the nose, with forward blackberry fruit that gives substance to the frontal impressions, along with creamy oak. Well-structured and fairly weighty on the palate, this youngster could us another year or more to bring the only mildly hot finish into full balance.
