Full-bodied and densely purple, belying its soft tannins, this deliciously accessible Cabernet, a Bordeaux-like blend of three grape varieties, is distinctive and deceptively smooth. Its varietal composition is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petite Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Our Henry Ranch and Preston Vineyards are the main contributors to the blend which, after most of it underwent malolactic fermentation, was barrel-aged 17 months before being bottled in July of 2010.
This wine shows black cherry, cola and baking spice amid toast and sweet vanilla notes with moderate tannins on the finish. Store at cellar temperature and continue to enjoy over the next six to eight years.
