The ‘08 Napa Valley Cabernet is a perfect example of concentration and intensity. Dark, brooding and inky, this blend of Cabernets from Henry, Preston and Vittorio’s Vineyards—along with 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc—even at 3½ years old, is still coming out of its barrel-bound slumber. The aromas of black fruits are clearly there in the nose, promising richer rewards with additional aging. The ripe fruit flavors are simmering under a blanket of moderate tannins from 17 months in new French oak.
Voted "Best Cabernet" 2012 Monterey Wine Competition
Lay this beauty down if you like, as it will continue to improve over the next few years; or decant and let it breathe a bit before enjoying with hearty beef and lamb dishes. Optimum enjoyment will likely be through 2020.

The Sattui Napa Valley is the best cab you'll find at $35 -- buy a case and it's $31.50 -- sweet! Once again, it buries others that retail in the $40 to $50 range -- Silverado, Turnbull, Mondavi (Oakville), Montelena (Napa), Ladera -- the list goes on. We love this wine and always pick up a case or two.
