Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Grown exclusively at our Carsi Estate vineyard south of Yountville, is even more rich and luscious than many of its European cousins and shows why Rhône varieties have become increasingly popular in the “New World.”
Food Pairing Notes
The wine is medium-bodied—somewhere between a Pinot and a Syrah—and is very accessible, even at a young age, exhibiting flavors of cherry, raisin, black pepper, mint and licorice. Its relative spice makes it a good pairing with many ethnic foods as well as roasted meats and vegetables.

I tasted this today and I am not normally a red wine person. This is my second favorite after Gammy Rouge. It is hearty, but light. It is like a Pino Noir without the deep flavors. I was very impressed and brought home several bottles.
