For more than 20 years I have sought out and attended many of them. Some have been quite spectacular, but none comes close to rivaling Calendimaggio in Assisi. Festivities take place all over the town culminating at the Central Piazza. Feasting, song, dance & inter-village rivalries based on century-old traditions are like no other I have ever seen.

The Festival of Calendimaggio is so great we have decided to change our itinerary
