Bright and fruity, it sports the color of springtime roses and that alone should set the mood. But, ah, the flavors…the juicy, ripe strawberry and crisp tart cherry will quench the thirst and refresh the palate.
Our 2010 Cuvée Rouge is “more than just a pretty face,” says winery president Tom Davies. “It’s a bottle of bubbly that tastes as good as it looks!” Recently dubbed “CR,” this sparkler is made from the same grape, Valdiguiue (or Napa Gamay), as our very popular Gamay Rouge and is produced in the typical rosé style where free run and lightly pressed juice remains in contact with its grape skins.
A lush and fruity dry rosé blend of Grenache (93%), Syrah (7%) similar to the rosé wines of Provence. With its fresh raspberry fruit aromas combined with ripe cherry flavors, this delicately balanced wine with lively acidity pairs nicely with most appetizers, roasted meats and savory cheeses.
