The grapes for this wine come from Preston Vineyard located in the Rutherford Appellation, an area where some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley is grown. The region is known for its gravelly soils which produce rich and opulent red wines with fine-grained tannins and incredible complexity.

This Rutherford-bred Cabernet from the tiny Morisoli Vineyard, shows beautiful fruit ripeness, seamless texture and the power and elegance so characteristic of this stellar vineyard.

Since 1994 V. Sattui has been producing stellar Cabernets from tiny Morisoli Vineyard, located in the very heart of Napa Valley’s Rutherford Appellation, planted in the deep rich soils on the western Napa Valley floor, just west of the small town of Rutherford.

With a seductively aromatic nose of black truffle, cedar and mulberry this Morisoli Cabernet has suggestions of mint, dusty earth and leather. On the palate, there are deep, focused flavors of black cherry, wild blackberry, dark plum and chocolate. “Classic Napa Cabernet,” says Winemaker Brooks Painter. Drink now-2015.

Some of California’s most sought-after and expensive wines come out of the Rutherford AVA, the historical core of the Napa Valley and from where V. Sattui has been producing Preston Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons for more than thirty-three years.

This was V. Sattui's thirty-first vintage of fine Cabernets produced from this tiny Rutherford vineyard.

The 2005 Preston Cabernet was voted “Best Cabernet & Best Red Wine in Napa Valley” at the 2007 California State Fair. This new vintage is sure to be a collector’s item from the highly regarded 2005 vintage.
